It was more complicated for me, Tom:

Amazing though, how Tim new what to expect for the closer-in contacts, and which ant was best for the longer hauls out west and to the south. No doubt the prolific testing plays a big role.

When I was going through college, I had a professor who I considered a wizard.  This guy was big into physics, a mad scientist I considered him.  He had the coolest lab and an office that looked like a some ham shacks that others would have considered out of control.  He was a genius as far as I was concerned and I loved hanging out in his office, class and lab. 

One day, someone commented on what they thought was disarray in his office, class and lab and he retorted back, a cluttered office is the sign of a cluttered mind and a clean office is the sign of a empty mind.  I would rather have a cluttered mind than a empty mind, I can only imagine what's in a empty mind, nothing, absolutely nothing.

This guy was sharp as a tack. He knew were everything was in is work area.  He knew his stuff and much more, unlike some of the "organized" professors.

Wow!  Thanks Keith for all the nice pics of Tron Mountain.  I used to visit "Camp Timtron" frequently but it's been ten years since I've been up there.  I'll have to make another trip very soon and see how the place has changed.

That's all Radio Timtron property up there. Next thing you will see him in the Caddy smoking a cigar and becoming a major corporate type up there on Timtron Mountain. Then watch out. All we need is a little time. The parts and equipment are readly available. Doomsday Radios Anyone?

Actually...

Timmy owns the land, and most of the towers. As for the ones that he doesn't own outright, he has attachment rights written in the leases. This allows him to string antennae any way he sees fit, as if they were his towers.

Typically, when a tennant moves away they leave the tower, so even if it isn't Timmy's now, it probably will be someday.

Keith: I can tell you what each and every single tower is in those photographs, and where they're located on the property, if that would be any help. Tim could do the same, but I have more time on my hands than he does. I could probably even draw up a map of the joint.

One of the photos shows the spot where I was standing years ago when something began buzzing around me.  At first I felt a mild pricking on my leg, but before long I felt stings.  It turns out I was standing right over some kind of bee's nest in the ground, and the bees were flying up from a hole about 1/2" in diameter in the soil, going right up my trouser leg.

I immediately dropped my trousers on the spot with multiple bee stings, and someone else in the party got a sting or two as well.

I recall there was a young couple up from somewhere on L.I. and I think the wife was a little shocked to witness an OF suddenly dropping his britches right in front of everyone while cussing a blue streak.

It's funny when I think about it now, but it wasn't so funny the moment it happened.

Now-a-days every cell phone has a camera. Think of the milage I could get out of a series of photos taken on that 15 second interval!
