Thanks Tom!

But on 3885 I received only 1 station very weak!
Time +/- 06.25 in Holland.
You mention good conditions on 160 mtrs Tom.
I received on 1640 Radio station WTNI very good!!!!!
Even so legale stations on 1660 and 1620.
So on 160 must have been good conditions.... Wink

Hi Henk,
Last night I could see that there was some AM action around 3.705, but could not recover any audio.
I'll try again.

Those stations were on 3705 from 05.30 our time:

9H1ES
PA3HCO
PA1SBV
PA2HV
F6AQK
F6DIZ
PE1MPH

But conditions were poor!
On 3885 I heard 2 stations from the USA, one with the name: Bob!

Today: 16 sept. 2007 this morning on 3705:

F6AQK: Jean (leader-/policeman of the freq.)
F6DIZ: Marcel
9H1ES: Fortunato
GW8TBG: Mervin
PE1BJZ: Douwe
PA0AM: Cor
F6DVD: Marcel
PE1MPH: Henk

PA1SBV: Tjerk

This message I received from Ken W2DTC:
I just heard a guy give your call letters and then he said "chow chow"

That must be F6AQK.

And Ken mailed me this info:
The strongest carrier so far was a guy whose frequency slowly drifted down.

That must have been Fortunato, who were a little higher on freq.(3707).

Evenso I sent you a little part of the AM sound this morning on 3705.
On the recording: GW8TBG, 9H1ES and F6DVD

Thanks for transmitting and listening on 3705, the World AM freq.
And have a nice day,

I was listening at 0530 your time Henk and heard nothing, the channel was clear.  Then W3SLK and K4KYV started up on 3709 1/2.

But it did appear that I heard your group's activity start up on 3705 about 0545.  I heard readible signals at 0650 and perhaps until 0730.  At one point, one of your signals rose up quite a ways in strength and readibility, but no call heard.

Heard Euros in the DX window working the US West Coast last night, so the band was in pretty good shape.

Yeah I was on there with the hopes of hooking up with Henk and company. I waited until the slow-scan yahoos vacated the frequency. I actually stayed there until about 1AM local. The QRN was getting down right nasty though.

I'll start taking a listen on the weekends Henk. With the cooler WX, the QRN should begin to subside. I need to do some work on my RX antenna array too. That should help me hear you guys more FB!

Steve, you're the only one I know of who has been able to work Henk in recent months. And to think - we were just up the band 15 kcs or so and had no idea!

Looks like warmer wx here by the week's end, so probably T-storm activity. Things will really start to quiet down in the next 3-4 weeks.

Be patient and persistent, Henk!  Wink

Henk, the stations you mention all have great signals. You should be able to easily work 'QIX as well. I know I'll be trying to work across the pond in the coming months, so perhaps understanding the best time to catch up with folks over there will help.
