Henk I bet we won't have a chance to cross the pond again until autumn when the static starts to calm down.

But, thanks for tuning in and telling us you're receiving ...

Hello Henk,
Glad that you are copying some AM from across the pond. The short bursts of communications is the result of the "break-in mode". ID's are given usually every 10 minutes, but it doesn't help when you are trying to figure out what area of the USA is propagating to your side of the World. Fall time will quiet Ma Nature.
Can you use lower freqs, (3705 ?), the "expanded" area released to us by the FC Commisioners. Break-in mode is not always common. There are still the good old buzzard roundtables.

Henk,

In the USA Advanced Class and Extra Class can now use 3705!!
Rules have been changed!!

There is often a QSO on the USA East Coast and in Canada near that frequency!

Not only that, it tends to be a lot quieter down there, less of the garbage from above. Paul is right, the static isn't going to get any better for a while, but there are some decent nights. That would be the place to try it.

Hello Henk,
Good to hear from you OM! Unfortunately, I think we won't be able to hear each other until the Summertime static crashes (QRN) slow down a bit, but don't let that stop you from trying and versa-visa.

Do you have any new antenna configurations or equipment?

It's always good to hear from you and hope we can work each other, probably in the Autumn.

Hello Joe Cro N3IBX,

This summer conditions, even so in Europa mornings. French stations on 3540 / 3590 are weak. During weekends (sometimes) I talk with Jean F6AQK on our AM freq. 3705. And (maybe you know) I have already worked with some stations from the USA direct on 3705!!! Wink
For more info: www.qrz.com then typing pe1mph
By the way on +/- 7150 I have received often USA (lsb Angry)....

I keep my eyes on USA AM stations and I am mostly qrv on 3705.

Till soon,
