Sorry Frank,

I wish I could, but I don't get home from work until after 4 PM Central.  Tonight, (like every Monday night), I'm helping out at the animal shelter until about 7:30 PM Central.  Bummer.

I heard a Kansas station in there, but he didn't hear me.  I guess my 50 watt ricebox wasn't enough to make it out of Dallas.

Yep, 10m was open and heard AM signals for the 1st time since I put up the 1/2 wavelength end-fed vertical a few weeks ago.

Worked Jim, WA0FBQ in MO, Mark, W8XR in Toledo, Ohio, and WA4HRK in SC before conditions deteriorated.

Unfortunately the newly-installed end fed vertical has to come down again... the resonant frequency keeps changing. Although it was at 29.0 when installed, it's drifting down and currently resonates at 28.6, making the VSWR a bit higher than I'd like it on 29.000.

Good activity on 10 AM 29.0 yesterday. Heard WA0FBQ, K0RDF, and a couple of renegades from 11M on 29.005 AM. Worked W8XR with a nice sounding Flex, WD8BIL and a couple of locals; WB1AIJ and N1PSI. Heard others too, but never got their calls. Haven't heard that much AM on 10 in a long time. Very cool. My new 10M wire vertical seems to be working. Though the dipole was superior most of the time. Maybe due the sigs were at a higher angle or the dipole has a good lobe to their direction. Its a 80 ft dipole fed with twinlead that is actually a bit lower height than the vertical...........Larry

Turn your 10M antennas to Alaska once in a while....I should be on 10 AM with a PW sig from Naknek, AK in the afternoons (Alaska Standard Time) for the next month or so...I hear Pacific NW stations and British Columbia and Alberta every so often...Quite a lot of 10M SSB from Japan and Russia heard here as well..I havent got the TX antenna up yet, but soon....
