I had a decent, short QSO with Ed WA4NJY in West Florida around 10:30 PM Eastern time. Long fades for my receiving, but he was copying me most of the time. Legal limit on a rotatable dipole 70 feet up helps.
And I do agree with other threads about 40M only needing 100 watts when Ole Sol is ionizing the ether. Right now it's all you can muster.
