That's so kewl!

Theres a Tobacconist down the street that sells empty cigar boxes wood, metal, paper and plastic. Every time I pass by I think of grabbing a few for cigar box radios. He only sells them for around $1-4 depending on size and material so it's not bad at all. For $20 I could drive away with a carload. I may just do that!

Just a transmitter, a reciever, or the typical complete transceiver in an Altiods tin (you know, like the Pixie, 49er [I built mine in a small project box], or ATS III)?

Sort of like the Tuna Tin radios of old. Neat! Do these make Curiously Strong signals?

Boy if he has one more Ashton box I would love to get it for the modulator. I thought I had one ore but I do not and there are no local stores. SH and other cost gladly repaid.. Size is not important as it will only have one tube, several connectors and a small transformer or two

  Carl,
I may be by there tomorrow. If I get the chance I'll stop by and look, if he doesn't have any I'll ask him to save a couple for me. I only go there to get my cigarettes now and then.
I'm not a cigar smoker so I'm not familiar with brands but I'll check to see if he carries Ashton. He may since he does have quite a large selection I've just never paid much mind to them.

Thank you very much,

The wooden ones generally go for around $5.00. It is a pretty popular brand so hopefully he will have one.
