FB qso with Steve HUZ on 3725 shortly after noon today. Dead Band! Signals 3-4S-units above noise then the old absorption set in, teaching lesson about running a barefoot Ranger in the park.... couple VE2-3s near the noise on CW steaming along at 5WPM.....whew.

Next time full power to re-ionize the Heavyside Layers mid-day. AM version of HAARP needed  Shocked

It was fun while it lasted. Considering it was a 300 mile path, your sig was pretty good.

PW HT-9 814 arcs over too often gimme pp 833A modulated by pp833A and HT9 will glow briefly, vaporize, and disappear into pile of dust where it belongs

It was still crappy later, too. Talked with a few of the Canada gang yesterday while the band recovered in late afternoon. Reminded me of 40 going out in the early afternoon, minus the bc stuff.

Steve has been putting in a potent signal up here over the last weekend. We've had a number of good QSOs, but always later in the afternoon or evening. Sure is nice down below 3800....
