Does anyone know what has become of Dave Humbertson, W3NP? He always used to be a tall ship on 160 and would post on here. I haven't heard him in quite a while.

I've been wondering the same thing Mikey.

About a year ago his place of business reorganized and his job function, training and education, was preserved intact, according to a conversation I had with him at the Berryville (Va.) hamfest back in August 2006.

It sounded like it might have meant more hours and/or more travel. He was already covering a territory from western Maryland to Baltimore.

I met up with him out the Howard County fairgrounds one summer related to W3F, an AM Festival Station, while he was in the neighborhood on work-related stuff.

Yeah, we ought to drop a dime on him and see QTF< over ?

I sent him an email about two weeks ago and it came back. Guess that has changed.

I concur Paul. Maybe if someone is over that way. I haven't heard from him or even seen him on post on here in a good long time. I just hope he is OK.

I worked Dave about a month ago and he was OK FINE.  He was off the air for about a year due to the neighbor's property making changes that affected his antennas for a while and then he was re-doing some indoor things.

I always get these calls confused. I was talking about WN3B not W3NP when I said I sent him an email. HAS anyone heard Mike WN3B not W3NP on the air or otherwise. If you have, let me know. At the same time, Hello to WN3B-W3NP and all the ships at sea.

I have not heard Mike WN3B on the air since the passing of Bill WC3K.

He helped settle his estate regarding his accumulated radio gear.

I talked with Mike WN3B via email back in December just before Xmas.  He was doing fine then.
PM me if you'd like his email address.

Ah yes, W3F Davie H.
Howard Co Fairgrounds
Dogs, Rock and Fair Song

        ********

Come on Dave,
   Get with the Program.
Answer your mail.
   Don't use a Stand-In.

We know your out there,
  Heatin' the airwaves
Cause We can still hear you
  Still kickin' and brave.

Your song will resonate
  On 75 for all time.
Didn't you love to bloviate
  With Rick and the Chimes.

I think Paul has it recoded,
  Our claim to fame.
So Let it be so ordered
  Our heads hung in shame.

"How Dry I am,
   How Dry I am,
Nobody Knows,
   How Dry I am. "

And let it be said,
  That Farfest be led
From Doggies to Cowboys
  I think that's Dave's dread.

umm, anon.
...sort of.
