AM "exception" in ARRL bandwidth petition already drawing fire

I think we could have reasonably predicted this:

Perhaps the one thing most egregious to digital proponents in the ARRL bandwidth plan has been an exemption in the 3.5khz band segment for AM.  Mr. Rotolo confirms that this exception has raised quite a ruckus in the digital community. It begs the question, if an exception is created for AM why not an exception for 25khz data

Perhaps the petition shows undue favoritism for AM phone. Instead of that, a better way would be a 10kHz bandwidth overlay in parts of larger HF ham bands at reduced average power level.(emphasis mine) This would allow AM but not preclude other transmission methods with similar bandwidth occupancy effects. Obviously, the ARRL has bowed to tradition in these areas in their efforts to accommodate the status quo.

These nudnicks suggest no measurement techniques for complaince whatsoever. It is largely beyond the understanding of the proponents. Junk science. Make the font larger. It still is applaince talk. The whole thing is just as viable as BPL. Ham radio is now a blue collar sport. The guys in ties are long gone.

I noticed that Bonnie Crystal KQ6XA, a digital proponent (on her website she styles herself a "21st century explorer and technologist")  with what appear to be a few material interests in the manufacturing and sale of allied devices and/or accessories, plunked her "No" down quite emphatically on the so-called "AM exception" on QRZ.com. 

This isn't surprising, though, since La Crystal's been floating her very own band plan around the internet for the past few years.  Her bandplan relegates AM to part of 10 meters and above.  In truth, and she makes no secret of it, she'd prefer to see AM go the way of the dodo and the passenger pigeon and she envisons a day soon when even slopbucket is dead as disco. 

Her posts on QRZ.com are full of large, bold text and hyperbole.  I can't figure out if she's in earnest, or if she's trying to attract business for her diverse interests.

I don't see any strong support for her or her adopted views.

They are trying to re-create the bad old days of the teens and twenties when bedlam reigned on the bands. Then they can say why look at those @^&"'* and all of that wasted bandwith wich could be sold at much money to worthy corporate interests instead of being wasted like that.
Just my conspiracy theory of the day.
