CW is just a narrower version of AM

« on: November 13, 2011, 10:04:20 AM »

Last cycle I built up a junkbox rig for 10M which has long been recycled. Hey it is time to dig out those old mags and handbooks and gin up a new one! Just for nostalgia, My last one was a 5763 into a 6360 into an 829B modulated by a pair of 807's using a TCS mod transformer. That gave an honest 40 Watts out.

Maybe I will go modern this time with a 6AU6 VFO into a 6AW8 buffer/multiplier into a 6CL6 and a 6146 final. I have a utility modulator power supply that I am building up for the TA-12 and that should do fine.
