I'm new to the board. Thought I'd share an antenna that has proven to be a good, simple all around performer for DX and local ragchew. It is a half wave, corner fed, L for 160 with the vertical element linear loaded, kinda like a rotated inverted V. Also, you can imagine it being a pair of half waves for 75 meters, one vert/one horiz. The vertical leg being top fed aids efficiency. I do not use any counterpoise/radials underneath. The horizontal element acts much like a dipole leg, except on 40 where it may show a more clover leaf pattern.
