BLUE GLOW

I was driving home late one night and noticed a beautiful purple glow comming from a house off the road. I thought this guy must be a Ham with a 5KW AM transmitter and is doing some testing. The entire room was full of this beautiful glow, until we passed the house. 
It was a 200 gallon fish aquarium with a big flourescent fixture with 4 "grow light" bulbs hanging over the tank........ .................Oh Well.
I know, it's a crazy thread. At least the rain/sleet/ice/snow has stopped. Now to continue an antenna project.

I hope he doesn't live too close to you.  Those fish tank heaters are notorious RF  hash generators.  My kid once got one, and it totally ruined reception.  I fixed it by adding an a.c. relay, so that the thermostat activated the relay, and then the relay turned on the heating element.  The thermostat had to handle less current, the relay switched the power on and off instantly, and the relay circuit introduced enough hysteresis lag into the temperature control process that the switching occurred less frequently.  I could not detect any noise in my receiver after that.
