from the milsurplus list at qth.net:

For those list members who have not dealt with WJ Ford Surplus Enterprises ,
they are closing their doors October 1, 2006.

The disposal of their assets will occur Oct 24 on an online auction.

They lterally have thousands of items of test equipment, mil receivers,
tranceivers and accessories. I visited there today to interview the owne,
whom I know and he gave me the Royal tour. He has everything from German
rangefinders to ships bells (Royal Navy).

There are 100,000 square feet of surplus including 25000 manuals  and
150,000 tubes.

Visit the auctioneer's website at www.Danburysales.com.   The proxy bid form
provides details of requirements to register.

If interested , all items are supposed to be listed by Sept. 29/06.

Website says:

After over 30 years in business we have decided to close our doors and look towards retirement.

You're right Todd, a major loss.

I suppose this is some of the gear going to the auction block.
(look while you can)

That's sad news.

I talked with Ron Ford a couple weeks ago and loaded up on some more mil-spec RG-213. I've bought about 2,000' from him during the copper price run up.  He gave me old pricing, in fact, I was very pleased with the great deals all along.

He is a man of integrity and will be missed. The best of times in retirement to him!

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

Yeah... never even heard of them...

But I checked out the online auction set up.
Looks like you can not bid what you want, you have to bid what the auctioneer puts up as the minimum bid & minimum increment!!
That's not right, imho.
