Chat Room Question......

When I log into this BB.....at times I can see that someone is logged into the chat room. When I log into the chat room and try to contact this person........nothing. My question is this...if your logged into a chat room and u dont or wont talk to a new log in......why are u there???
Just wondering.....(does it have something to do with the MSDS attitude???)...

Hey Bill -

Never been in so I can't say for sure, but maybe they've logged off and are 'ghosting'? Or, logged off but still showing up online. It happens on Irc and I know the amfone opening page lists people active within the last 15 minutes or something, so maybe it's along those lines?

If not, well.....did you shower this week?   

Enjoyed catching you on 160 for the test. You were strapping in over here. Now I need to get a real aerial up.

I've logged into the chat room when nobody else is there and have stayed logged in for hours at a time without a hint of activity.  I've come and gone too without seeing anyone in the chat room.  But there maybe time too when I'm logged in and someone tries to contact me but I'm away from the computer too and when I realize someone tried to contact me I wasn't around and they logged off.   So it's possible that you've experienced what I have.  No big deal . I just keep on tryin'.

To answer your question first Bill the answers are

BTW(It is not a chat room but an "Audio Visual "room.)

1. Ghosting

2. Away from the computer.

3. Doesn't want to talk with you.

Bob activity in the AV room can be found evenings and especially when the bands are bad or we have a contest  going. Also after Bill goes to bed . We have about 30 people that use the Av area on and off.

If anyone is thinking of using this room be sure you have the lastest version of Macromedia's flash player. Its free and can be found on their site.
