At the following website you can click on your state and then your closest city and get the data on observable passes for the next couple of days :

Good luck,

There is a pass at 9:12 p.m. Friday night over the northeast U.S.  For me, north of Philadelphia, the elevation angle is 27 degrees at best, passing to the south of me.

Others can check their citie's sighting data at :

I did see the Shuttle & ISS at 9:13 p.m. for a minute or two.   It was not real bright, but not real dim either.  I would say that the elevation was a bit higher than the NASA data said.

I had my general coverage scanner programmed for 3 UHF AM frequencies that the Shuttle has used in the past.  I did not hear anything during the pass.   (I have heard the Shuttle on UHF AM in years past.)

Bob,

Below is a webpage with an extensive list of Shuttle-related frequencies.  About 1/4 of the way down the list is "Shuttle frequencies" giving the 3 UHF AM channels listed as primary, secondary and space suits, just below 300 MHZ.
