Pennsylvanian shaking hands with Yankee

« on: July 04, 2006, 11:54:11 AM »

On this Independence Day, I find that too many of us take ourselves too seriously.  I discovered the following humorous little aphorism by Lawrence J. Peter on the Internet.  It fits well on this day of wienie roasts.  It made me laugh, anyhow, without worrying about any political implications.  It is neither right nor wrong.  It is just amusing.

The noblest of all dogs is the hot-dog.  It feeds the hand that bites it.

BTW, Lawrence J. Peter is author of the famous "Peter Principle."
