Just curious, what are the typical required mods for a Johnson 500...
(Other than the typical AF mods!)

Always buiilding & fixing stuff. Current station is a "Old Buzzard" KW, running a pair of Taylor T-200's modulated by Taylor 203Z's; Johnson 500 / SX-101A; Globe King 400B / BC-1004; and Finally, BC-610 with SX28  CU 160m morn & 75m wkends.

... change the key lock ... you never know when someone will stop by and try to take it for a joy ride....

Oh, there is no key anymore, I just use a small screwdriver!
All the HV feedthroughs are new, I put new caps in the LV, Bias, and screen supplies, and
a really nice 12 uF oil filled in the HV...
The Plate iron is a replacement too...
Naturally I did all the AF mods ya normally do....plus the VFO rebuild....
She works really great, I just wanna keep it that way
