At MRCA/Gilbert we have several members who bring out there URC-4 transceivers. They have them set up for 144.25 and run AM with that radio, netting with a modern radio like a URC-110 or 200 they have about a half mile range but URC-4 to URC-4 only good for under a thousand feet or so, if you cant see the other station you cant talk to it.
