Just got word off the ARC-5 reflector.   Info on their website:

https://fairradio.com/

I visited them in '18 or '19..... Sensory overload for me!

Wow! Never expected that. I bought some items from Fair Radio starting back in 1965.

Very sad to see them go. I remember drooling over their catalog back when I was a kid. Wish it wasn't so far away; I'd be there tomorrow.

Fare-thee-well the "Fair Radio"!

As most of us can recall, the Fair Radio catalog was page by page, an "electro-fix" for lil' pubescent
ham kids looking for surplus treasures.. I bought a Collins R-392 from them that actually worked FB!!

Point is: WE, (as in "we" Amateurs), are now the "surplus" keepers of the gear that will keep the legacy on the air..

Fair radio has MORE stuff than we do, but OUR stuff is damn significant!

Go down to your stash and take a look..

It's just like a surplus store is in your basement!!

Right you are Jeff! I had a chance to visit their store several times while I was doing service calls in the Cincinnati area. This was before they move to their present spot. The way I understood it if you didn't see it in their catalogue you could call and they would dig it up for you.
