It appears the FCC, at the whim of OSHA, is now laying down additional regulatory requirements upon John Q. Ham.  ARRL has been powerless to squelch this development!

In the wake of the now compulsory RF Exposure Survey requirement, even for Tuna-Tin-Two QRP aficionados, we now are all encumbered with the mandate to display a bright black and yellow health and safety placard, prominently displacing our world map and QSL collection. No start date for this newest FCC demand has been set, as the availability of the new placard is unknown.

A minor side benefit of the required placard is the total elimination of the need to answer dumb questions emitted from those individuals who received their license via the cram method.   Also, the amateur is officially no longer required to address TVI issues.  A bit late to the party, as TVI seems to be very rare with DTV!

Furthermore,

This notice probably should be hung prominently by those amateurs that require little additional to boost their amateur radio ego.

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.
