A friend of mine, K3WKM, is trying to find out when his original call, KN3WKM was issued to him. He knows it was sometime in 1957. Anyone know how to research issue dates?

About the only way is to check old call books online,
but I would guess late 62 early 63 as my call KN3SQP
was issued FEb 62 and they were alpha-sequential and no
vanity calls..
good luck

He knows it was 1957, he was trying to determine the actual date the FCC issued it.
