unusual tubes ID please?

I was given a couple of strange tubes. Does anyone have datasheets on them?
I'd like to find out if I can use them for anything.

One is a Edison 42262-4, which I am told is a UV detector. It looks like two parallel rods in a small glass tube.

The other is an EG&G FX-101B. I don't think it's a flashtube, odd arrangement of electrodes, maybe a gas triggering tube or something

Either way, if they light up by any means it wouyld be worth it to find out more.

The bonus is the 1P40 phototube, for which data is avail.

FX-101B, with the interesting, but potted  modules it plugs into. It's a regular 9-pin base. Notice the interesting electrodes.

Of course the 1P40. I was told they go bad? dont't know.

If I have the patent number correct (3047761) on the Edison tube, it is a radiation detector tube according to the US Patent Office.
