With lousy band condx I've lost track of quite a few of the
40 m AM regulars. Sadly today I Googled  Joe  WA3WMI, Joe,
from Larksville PA and found he passed away in March.
Sure sad to hear this, he was one of the "good guys" and I'm going
to miss him. My sympathy goes out to his Family and friends...

Sorry to get that information Frank.  I remember listening to him a lot on 40M over the years.  I know he had failing eyesight over the years.  I believe he was once a stellar woodworker.   Not more that maybe 2 weeks ago I was thinking about him.  40M conditions are so up and down, that I seldom listen there anymore.  Saying that, I usually here CW signals down around 7.032.

Joe was a very close friend.  He was the reason for my enthusiasm for AM.  He lived only a few minutes away and when 40 was not cooperating we would meet on 220 FM simplex.  You are correct, Joe.  He was a master wood worker and a true gentleman.  I am going to miss him....

Talked to Joe many times and met him at some of the fests. So sorry to hear of his passing. RIP.

Sorry to hear that Joe passed away and thank you Frank for letting us know. Joe's friendly voice was always a treat to listen to on the 40 meter band and I always enjoyed chatting with him. He is going to be missed.
