I should have mentioned the time zone.   8:00 AM on 3875, East Coast time.

I happened to be up at 5 o'clock and heard a group on there. It sounded mostly like west coast people, so I don't know if propagation was making it back east.

Jon,

Before I was able to go back to work (130 mph into a wall),  I would wake up at 5 pst and hang out with the northwest corner crowd.   They had a 'coffee clatch',  as I called it....   Maybe they still have it?

Buddly,  you must be really lonely.  It's only on the one day/wk as far as I know.

Hi Fred, no not lonely. I just have mornings free now. Got laid off last month and landed a consulting job last week. So I can have some mornings open to play radio.

Saturday mornings I'll probably be in a treestand somewhere! Smiley

It's too bad that the Old Buzzards Net that was held daily at 10:00 AM on 3.945 has died along with most of the old timers that were part of it. If I had daily access to my transmitter QTH, I might consider keeping it alive?

The Lonely Guys net was off for many years but now Steve WA1QIX seems to be the Master of Ceremonies keeping it alive along with the founder W1ZZZ (Peter).

It would be great if someone put the Lonely Guys net on USTREAM or Skype so shut ins like me could check in! I'M SO FREAKING LONELY!!!!!

Wasn't this a Sunday morning net?

Which net?  The Lonely Guys or the Old Buzzards?

The Lonely Guys has always been Saturday mornings.  The old buzzards used to meet pretty much every weekday and maybe the weekends too, although I can't say I ever noticed them on the weekends.

The AM Carrier Net meets on Sunday mornings.
