Jon and Tom mentioned some adhesives in another thread.

We all know about glues and super glues and super glue gels that work well in electronics.

An adhesive that I have recently started using is Loctite GO2.

It is strong and somewhat pliable and when cured, it is completely clear. It works specially well on coils/coil forms and toroidal cores.

Unlike Superglue, with GO2 you have to clamp the components or keep them motionless for about 15 minutes for a set and then let it cure overnight.

Is it heat resistant Phil. Have you tried it on top of a glass tube metal cap? Just curious and thanks for the tip.

Good question.

I haven't tried it on top of a hot tube but will do that and see what happens.

I do know that the superglues' will simply crystallize over time and lose their bond in the presence of high heat.

A product that is good for outdoor sealing is the flowable silicone by VersaChem called,
"Windshield and Glass Sealer," part No.75009.
