Hello friends,

Anyone have an ASSEMBLY manual for the Viking Navigator?  I need a pictoral of the meter switch.
I have a schematic, but need to identify the pin-out on the switch.  It is a unique switch and I think mine might be wired wrong.

Thanks for any help you can give me,

I had one but got rid of it many years ago, so I no longer have the manual. But I recall it being nothing but a DPDT slide switch wired to look at the grid or plate of the 6146.

I will offer some unsolicited advice, and offer it in the strongest of terms. Get that meter out of the plate circuit and move it to the cathode. The reason most of the Navigators have replacement meters is the meter switch breaks down and passes full DC through the meter.
Why Johnson did the metering the way they did baffles me.

I agree with moving it to the Kath.. But that meter
was a REAL POS... Back to back diodes will save it but
you probably don't want it anyway...  I think that's the
reason all those meters were swapped out.  They needed
just a little "Damping". Same with the "Challenger".
