I guess Santa is safe for now. With all the warm weather here in the Northeast, Santa and his elves might have to modify their attire.

 Odd conditions on 75 tonight, San Diego AMI Net, checked in with net control in Hesperia, Ca which is 350 miles from here, at 6:30 to get on the list, net begins at 7. I also heard him talking with a few stations in San Diego which is closer to 450 miles form here.

  Came back to 7 and the band was so long I couldn't hear net control. I heard a station in 7 land talking to net control and that was it.

Sun further South, longer nights, D-layer goes away completely making for better long haul contacts. Short haul contacts generally suffer. Not unusual for this time of year.
