Does anyone know any company or individual who might sell the two-pin mike/PTT plug for the Viking series of transmitters?

Thanks

I see those 2 pin plugs on eBay, anywhere from $18-25.  Being cheap, and since all my mikes have the 4 pin plug on them, I built up adapters using a 33mm film canister, with a 4 pin connector to a 2 pin plug.  Only 1 of my Valiants has the 2 pin connector, as changed out 1 to a 4 pin connector sometime ago.

1/4" stereo plug/jack works just as well.

Buy one of these CB plugs and jacks:

and buy one of these:

$5 a piece on Amazon. Flea market sellers generally around $2 or $3 each
The hole for the mike connector should be pretty close.

Thanks guys.

I was hoping to not to have to change the chassis jack out.

Thanks Steve, the 4-pin set is a good future option if none are found.

Phil,

Assuming your connector is the standard 80-MC2M, Newark (and other places) have them new, but they are pricey:

There is at least one guy selling them on eBay for a little more reasonable price:

Hope that is some help,

A number of my rigs now have these CB-type jacks on them. And most of my mikes have the mating connector. Now I can move microphones around from rig to rig if I want, and not have diddle with adapter cables or plugs.

Thanks Dean, Zorch, and Pete.

One of the AMFONE members will be sending me some 2-pin male connectors.

Of all the Hamfests I have attended in the Midwest over the years, I have yet to find any of those 2-pin connectors, or I would have bought all I could find.  Wink
