I did not have any suppressors in there. Evidently they are needed!
I am not sure what you mean by grid suppressor. I am feeding the cathode with the arrangement in the article, feeding both tubes.

Hi Rich. Thanks for the clarification. Ok, a plate suppressor for VHF parasitic oscillation is certainly key. The article had an additional suppressor feeding the cathode in lieu of using a L match or a PI match network which is customary on cathode feed, grounded grid. In any case, I am glad you made significant progress! My error on stating a grid suppressor, he used no such thing, just an RL network on the cathode.


So my question back a few posts, how did you connect the 2-813. Simply grid to grid on the control grids, ground all remaining grids and how about the cathodes. Did you use his Z1 network on each one. A final schematic on your approach would be nice.
