I have an H-P 524C counter and companion 540B transfer oscillator with (if I can find them) several more inserts. Got them years ago through the Air Force MARS program.
http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/hewlett_pa_electronic_counter_524c.htmlThe 524C was working fine and one day around 1990 it released smoke. It is still in the same condition, but dirtier. I’ve never used the 540B.
Anyway — this has been stored in my garage since 1993 untouched by anything but the occasional mud dauber and random dirt. It has been sealed in its cabinet, has all its parts, tubes, etc. and would probably clean up fine for a collector or provide usable parts for who knows what …
FREE — to anyone who wants to pick it all up from my garage, cash and carry, dirt and all, in or near the D/FW area. Otherwise, it’s on it’s way to the landfill. I’m not moving it cross country, and don’t have the time or inclination at this point to try and salvage it for parts.
Anyone? I’ll even help you carry and load it. Trust me, you’ll need the help
