Valiant Front panel PTT Toggle Switch Replacement

My Valiant PTT front panel switch crapped out today. When examining the switch for
removal looks like the front panel has to come off to remove the switch. Is this really the case?

Happen to have the front panel off of two Valiant transmitters right now and I don't see any way to get the switch out without removing the front panel.  It is a relatively easy panel to remove, as they go. Sorry it isn't better news.

As Tom said you will need to remove the front panel, I had to do the same a few months ago to replace the audio gain pot in my Viking 500.

With some double panel gear that has flat panels you can work from the side but not with the curved panel Johnson gear.

Be very careful with the Valiant not to break the VFO shaft coupler, flexing the front panel will cause this breakage.

Thanks for your inputs and help! I've already cleaned off my work bench and ready to move the Valiant with a dolly. It's a bear to move because of the S22 Mod transformer that in it. The other problem  I noticed is that the VFO will jump in frequency, less than 1Khz
