Not only did giant set of spots show today but with a partial eclipse of the sun by the moon. NASA TV Channel and site have relayed Griffith Observatories video all day.

Sunspot 2192 is now a filtered naked eye spot. Large enough to be seen without magnification. It's about 30 deg. Rt. of solar meridian this morning as I write this.

Use a Thousand Oaks 105mm aluminized filter normally used on scope. Wide enough to allow both eyes to view sun.

A dark enough welders glass should be ok for viewing too.
