Hi folks, I am into a project of W6SAI and he calls out a air variable capacitor with a Johnson part number: 35 DE 20

I can't seem to cross reference it and maybe there is a part number error in the text... it is the antenna loading cap on one of his suggested antenna tuners.

Anyone recognize this part number...  I might guess 20-350 pf but it would be nice to know for sure.

Thanks, Tom

I know that a Johnson 350E20 was the loading cap in the Viking I, and it is 350 pF.

A dual 35pfd cap rated at 2KV.  Maybe a zero is missing and it's a dual 350pfd 2KV.

That is the old part number,  Johnson later used a different part number for the same cap.

The "D" indicates a dual section cap.  The "E" indicates the size of the cap, E being the smallest in the transmitter style cap series.  The 20 indicates the plate spacing and is 2KV.
