I am trying to put PTT in my ranger 2, I have followed the modification in the manual to the (T) is dose not work. On page 19 it shows a diagram of the relay layout, mine is layed out just like the book says. Is there a wire that gose from terminal 8 to the relay contacts or dose that relay contact go to ground? If it dose it looks like to me that the B+ that is on the 6146 final screen grid would go to ground therefore grounding the B+ causing a big problem. No place in my instructions dose it cover what to do with that step in the wiring procedure.

In the manual, procedure F.3.g. looks fairly straightforward to me:
Remove the two black wires off SW4A, terminal 8, and connect them to a normally open set of contacts on the relay.

Connect a wire from from SW4A, terminal 8, and wire it to the wiper of that set of contacts.

Connect a wire from SW4A, terminal 6, and wire it to the normally closed contact of that set of contacts. I see no mention of a connection to ground.
