Well, I did it.
I went ahead and purchased (on sale!) the snap on spreaders made by 73CNC. I purchased enough to make 100' ft. of line using wire I have on hand, #12awg solid THHN. The shipping was super fast, and the product looks to be of good quality. After reading some posts on other forums, I found that it's a good practice to put the spreaders in warm soapy water before snapping them onto the wire. Makes perfect sense to me.
I'll report on how the project goes. I am excited to finally get going on this. Having this up in the air by the
time I deploy the BC-610E will be a very cool event, just in time for the approaching fall and winter months.

Check your specs on the Ladder Snap. Just installed a lot of it on some wire. I'm pretty sure they recommend #14 AWG THHN/THWN, solid or stranded.

You're right.
I compared it to my roll of wire and it's too large. I'll go with 14awg.
Thanks for the correction.

Billy your knife switch is much to nice. Check out this one I saw in a shop in Lake Placid NY the other day. I think the base is slate.
