ham operators come up with all kinds of ideas and not all of them are electrical. Not all of it is original, and some comes from studying other inventions or accounts.
Somehow I subscribed to this and rather than it being some kind of plain junk that one usually gets subscribed to, it is full of interesting new stuff people are developing in electronics and mechanical and chemical and bio science. I always find some interesting electronics story in there.
It's hosted by GlobalSpec, and I guess it is their message board. GS seems to be a cross between a vendor catalog and a sort of dictionary. For example they have 170 vendors of panel meters. Probably not the old ones..
