I had a nice chat with G3ZPF today on 10 meter. I checked out his web site. There is a very interesting article on Ernst Krenkel, polar explorer, and amateur radio pioneer and leader in the old USSR. He also operated station UPOL. I recall reading about UPOL in some old QSTs. Enjoy.
