Good day -

THIS IS NOT A "FOR SALE" POSTING - IT IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION.

I have a TMC tuner, #TU-50, as used in the ATS-2 Antenna Tuning System.

It's in excellent shape and I intend to eventually sell it, but I haven't a clue as to its worth.

I'd sure appreciate any informed opinions on that.

Tnx es 73.

Depends.

It's designed (afaik) for end fed not so long wires...

The remote box has motorized adjustments, the inside box has a big nifty cross needle power/reflected display...

And old friend (SK) Dick, KB2xxx (crud, can't remember his call!) had one that we modified somewhat to try to load an "L" antenna. Worked sort of ok.

Here's the pdf:
http://www.virhistory.com/tmc/tmc_pages/tmc_manuals/manuals_db/ats/tm_ats-2_5_15_65.pdf

Oddly some 10yrs after his passing I was up at the Saratoga hamfest and some guy pulls a trailer in late, with Dick's actual unit. It was easy to spot because we installed two long bat toggles on the face. Definitely non-stock.

Hard to say what it is worth - the actual cost to replicate is insane.
But the usefulness is limited - and you need a multiconductor cable to operate the beast.

That's all I've got...

Actually it was intended for the TMC vertical and the GPT 750 transmitter. I have the whole system - antenna, tuner, control box, and swr bridge.

I saw one sell on eBay not long ago, can't remember exactly but I think it went in the $500 range.  The controller went for about a grand.

Other than the mice cross needle swr meters there isn't that much to the controller.
