A fully stocked bar with a Super Pro built in. Does it get any better?

How about a pair of 750TLs to tell us how he really feels after a bottle or two?

For those nights when he really loses his mind, a pair of 2000Ts:  [The biggest glass tube ever made by Eimac, 2KW plate diss]

Use an "AM Courtesy Filter" to limit transmit audio bandwidth  +-4.5 KHz, +-6.0 KHz or +-8.0 KHz when needed.  Easily done in DSP.

And not just any Super Pro, a pre-war SP-100X w/crystal filter and what looks to be a 15" Jensen sitting beneath it.

Definitely an early version of Boombox meets Radiobar.....

And I thought 450s looked big! Can you imagine? Finding spares would be a PITA, I bet. You'd end up getting frustrated and spending all your time at the Super Pro bar.  Grin

Yes I do, Buddly - thanks to you.  Grin Other than being offline for the move south, it's gotten regular service since you sent it my way. And thanks to WA2PJP, I've got a set of nice Jensen 15" coaxial speakers, either of which would do the trick just fine. Of course, that field coil Jensen you included with the receiver probably sounds great too - just need to hook it up one of these days.

Unfortunately, the 'bar' part will have to wait until the wee one gets a bit older. She's just old enough and big enough now to reach and open things. For now, the Budd Pro-100X resides in the guest room lashed to a big EV speaker enclosure. Moved it there a couple months back so I could listened to it at night after Jen has gone to sleep. It still sounds fantastic, though it appears one of the tubes is getting noise. Sometimes a small thunderstorm erupts in the speaker while listening.
