My Rack is Filling Out

As you can see by the attached photo, my rack is filling out and will soon reach the limits of its current confines.

Top to bottom---

HP 5326B Nixie tube freek counter
BC348N Wells Gardner WW2 receiver
Collins R388/URR
Yaesu FT897D
Behringer K450FX 40 watt keyboard amp (I am a musician).

Off to the right but not visible in the rack photo is a Johnson Valiant that is giving me fits.

The audio from the old receivers sounds wonderful going thru the big keyboard amplifier. Since I obtained a Fender KXR100 with spring reverb, I hardly ever use the Behringer for music anymore.

I think you're cheeting with the Behringer in the bottom. Its like you will suffer from gynecomastia.... ..

Good going! Looks like a lot of fun. I prefer the speaker on the top of the rack because it seems like the sound is clearer, but everyone's different.

The Behringer K450FX Ultratone (what a name!) has a built in 5 band equalizer. One can tailor the audio to fit conditions. On the bottom the equalizer is readily accessible for on the fly adjustments.

Cheap is as cheap does. Channel 1 input is dead. Likely a poor solder connection. Behringer is the "MFJ" of audio equipment...cheap and works some of the time.

That explains the 1600 compressor I have. Books says it has a clipper. The clipper is just a strict peak-operated compressor. lowers the peaks -and- the other stuff. Not a clipper.

However, a powered speaker with those controls seems like a nice thing to have when the going is rough.
