Very nice conditions between U.S. east coast and our friends in Europe today. Signals were reaching S9 + 20dB at times but QSB was rampant and the band was erasing signals as quickly as it was allowing them. I had brief but very nice chats with:

DL4RAN Markus
DL9NEU Wolfgang
OE6RLF Ludwig
GU4LJG Brian
CT4RK Carlos
IW5EKR Aldo ~5 watts mobile
GW8TBG Mervin
SM1MUO Anders
G8NOF Glenn
M5AFD Dave

The screenshot below shows Mervin's LG300 transmitter as it looked today in the panadapter. Mervin and Carlos are in the two short audio samples. Carlos was running a homebrew plate modulated 6146 at 45 watts of carrier power.

Hello Rob,
Conditions were not constantly good...
I have listen long to you this afternoon, yes only listening!
Evenso I could sometimes heard the station talking to you.
For example CT4RK Carlos, GW8TBG Mervin and G8NOF Glenn.
Just between CT4RK and IW5EKR I did say 'Hello' to you.
But you talking with mobile station... so I let the freq. free!!
After your talk with G8NOF Glenn I did say again 'Hello'...
But the conditions were not good, your signal then only S2.
During your qso with GU4LJG Brian and CT4RK Carlos.
Your signal were S9 +5, the strongest this afternoon from the USA.
Soon your signal (and others) were going back....

This afternoon I have worked no station, only listening....
Such can evenso be nice... to hear many AM Lovers talking!

While I write this, I hear AM from the USA on 29020 khz .
Now its 18.25 hour in Holland and the man is talking about...
Hi, hi..... I hear him talking with Jacco? about a telephone, his signal S5.

Hi Henk,

I am very sorry that I did not catch you today. Yesterday, when we were chatting on 10 meters the band folded up on us very quickly. During that point today where I heard Aldo calling, there was someone down the band on SSB who had a parasitic issue with his amplifier. It was running up and down a 300 KHz spread of the the band very rapidly and making it difficult to catch people's callsigns. I see this often on the panadapter when tuning the upper bands, and it's sometimes possible to actually track down the station with the problem. At any rate, the signals were quite strong at times today. Maybe tomorrow will be even better???

Hope to tune your station in tomorrow.

At times I could hear you fairly well on backscatter Dave. You must have been pumping some good RF across the pond today!

When you were on with Mervyn I could hear a little under half of your audio.

Was going to say last word........
