Bigger problems now. Just started blowing fuses on transmit. Pulled out 6146's, still blows fuses. Something is amiss in the HV section. Hope the big transformer isn't shorted to ground somewhere. If it is, I'm throwing in the towel on this one.

  Wow,


        Phil, check that disc cap at the base of the RF choke, also
remove the plate blocking cap. Those wires that go from the coil
taps through the chassis may also be shorting.  I hate those things.

Blowing fuse without the hv rectifiers. This is not good. Hope T1 isn't fried. Measurements between windings are close per manual, but readings to ground on primary are low. If not the transformer, relay? I'll have to unsolder those wires to check their resistance.
