I listened in around 7155kc from about 3:30pm today. All I could hear was a <S1 carrier that was FMing and drifting down in frequency, with no discernible modulation. Had to have the BFO on to detect the signal. It almost sounded like some kind spurious signal.  The signal went on and off a couple of times, and then disappeared by 3:40pm.   Huh

Just for some context/comparing and contrasting with other fairly local type signals on 40m at that time....The ssb QSO on 7160kc from the NE area had signals that were 10db over S9 here. CHU on 7850kc was 30db over S9.
