  Yo'

I have a "Late Model", Early Ranger on the bench
IE: Brown with 160m plus the keyer sub-chassis, also
with a Ham installed PTT relay. 2PDT and I measure
125vdc on the ptt pin on the 4 prong plug.  So I
assume this is the original Johnson Mod.

I have 2 questions since I really have not seen
many of these with the PTT mod.

    1. Does this mod negate the need for the 11
pin octal like jumper plug on the back or did my
cust just forget it?

    2. If I ground the PTT line or otherwise force
the relay closed would/should this thing work like
a stock Ranger?  ZERO, CW, PHONE, STBY normal?

No hurry on this, Going out tonight...

   Thanks

/Dan

  Your right Pete,

It still required the 3 jumpers and the rig works "Normally"
in all respects with the exception of PHONE operation which
requires the closure of the relay.

Thanks
