I'll have a chance to go for the first time this weekend in Orlando.  Any AMers going?

I kinda wanted to but didn't want to that badly. I'm going to try and drive to Florence Sat and pick up an SP600 I purchased.

well that sounds like a worthy trip.  I guess I'll be the only AM nut there.

LOL, the Tampa Bay AM guys will all be there. I know I will. I sold my Yaesu FT 1000 to W4QG, and we will meet there, so I can hand deliver it to him this Friday.
I am also taking my Kenwood TS 850, and hope to sell that too.

You'll enjoy it Peter, and I'm sure Warren/GUD and the rest of the Florida AM contingent will be there as well.

One hint: unlike Hosstraders or NEAR-Fest Saturday, not Friday, is the better day. When I attended time was tight, so I went Friday. Not a lot of people there yet. Was windy, too!

Take some pics to share when you return. Even with the light crowd on Friday I still saw a lot of goodies from a set of Gold Dust Twins to a scarce Hallicrafters mobile power supply.

OK TNX for all who responded.  Todd - good info and TNX (and by the way...nice seeing you at Nearfest in the fall).  I will be going over Friday as I have a business visit in Seaworld, just down the street.  But maybe I'll find a treasure to pack up for the plane.  I brought my official "Johnson" badge so maybe someone will notice that.  Grin Grin Grin

I'll try to remember to take some photos..... Roll Eyes

Then there is Marlboro (MA) the weekend after I get home....one of my favorite festers.  I heard Piccadilys (sp) reopened.

My "Intelligence" tells me different, and some of us who plan to buy/sell at the tailgate are arriving early Friday (before the tailgate section opens) to not miss out on some deals that may be gone before the tailgate even opens "officially".
As always, the early bird get's the worm.
