I hope I'm not opening a thread about someone of our group in trouble.
But I haven't heard the happy voice of Joe N3IBX on the bands or in here on AMFONE. He always seemed to be ready to give a helping hand for advice or equipment to anyone here on AMFONE.
Maybe the VORTEX caused those sagging shelves of BA's to collapse!! Shocked
Thanks

I have an FT101 of his.
Has some mod to the regulator board that involves the rit/xit and the rig zooms off frequency when you TX, but if you put a meter probe on the rit/xit input to the vfo, it stops.

Anyone have a regulator board, or know what the mod was trying to do?

Joe lent it to me to try, because I never had one, and I thought I would fix it and clean it up and replace the rusty screws and so on. Not fond of the radio, I know they can be made to sound good on TX, on RX, maybe not so much?

I see no need for Joe to ever come out of the basement, there is enough down there to keep anyone busy for life.

Thanks Tom
I will mark this down as a "to-do" and a reason to get on the air a little more often.
