Spent the last two weeks working on the 1/2 wave 160 meter dipole. First, got the wire strung between two trees - 260 ft 12ga copperweld. Next, sunk ten wooden posts. Then I fabricated about 250 feet of homebrew OWL using 6 inch ceramic spreaders. Dusted off the homebrew tuner, and waddyaknow - success!! Now I got two antennas for the low bands!! See ya'll soon on 160, 75 es 40.

Grapes, Viking variety, didn't get 'em picked this year. Cedar waxwings are drunk. Shocked

Mebbe 5KW. It's only 14ga, but real high quality stuff. Stranded silver coated copper. Whenever I do outdoor soldering, I use silver solder and a propane torch. Whatever the jacket is on this stuff, you can't destroy it with a flame. Should last for a while Smiley
