Can't you just picture this in an old mid Western Bar back in the old days!  Very cool sound and notice the satisfaction thats given to the new owner!  Just about the same as one of us finding that special old Boat Anchor!

Cool.  You can almost see Matt walking in, having a beer, and taking to Miss Kitty while this thing is playing in the background Smiley

"Don't shoot the piano player"  Smiley

It's an out of tune piano.  Not hard to accomplish.  Beautiful oak case!

Out of tune it may be but it still sounds neat. I'd really love to play piano but unfortunately the only musical instrument I can play as of late is a CD Player. Sad I should have stuck with music in school. I used to play trumpet and bass fiddle.

That was a heck of a piana playing. The guy was pretty good and really enjoyed himself. A very good peenist.
That stringy or tinny sound seems that it is part of the character of the instrument. Definitely a bar room piana.
thanks Joe I liked the video.

Yeah, I like it reminds me of some of the clanky pianos you hear in the saloons in old western movies. In the end as log as the guy's had his $75 worth of fun out of it I guess that's all that really counts. He's missing his candy striped shirt, arm bands, and a hat.

There is (was?) a piano like this in a joint in Lamy, NM. It's across from the Lamy railroad station, which is the station for nearby Santa Fe, that Robert Oppenheimer and other notables of the Manhattan Project passed through on their way to Los Alamos.

Very interesting Bob.  If that is close to White Sands, we can have Mike's wife stop by and check it out since she spends a fair amount of time at White Sands!
