Well, after a long time the class E transmitter made it on the air.  Attached is a photo of the class E portion of the station and a recording of Nick and myself.

Many thanks to everyone for their interest in the progress.  Special thanks to Wayne, SSJ and Steve QIX for their assistance without which I never would have made it. Recording is courtesy Jeff, W2NBC

The sound on the air is really, really good.  Very clean, and the signal of course is great!

I still need a place to report for work. Not getting tired of the regimen yet.
Been a long long time to hear Nicky Badwires.

Looks and sounds great Al.  I hope to work you soon with your newest rig.  Thanks to Steve and Wayne for all the assistance they gave to you.

It sounded beautiful when I spoke with you yesterday on 75 meters Al. Very smooth, clean, and heavily modulated. It has that kind of powerful sound that the U.S.S. Enterprise makes when it passes you by out in deep space (even though there's no sound in space). Yeah, raw power, even between syllables...

:O)

Al,

Thanks for checking into the AWA net yesterday with your new Class E rig.  As expected, it sounded excellent and good copy through the very high level of QRN.  Quite a storm we had down here yesterday.
