Hey gang..wondering if this is a viable substitution?..basing is the same..12BJ..all basic voltages etc are equal..only apparent difference I can see is plate dissapation slightly greater on the 6HB5..I'm curious as neither of my tube sub books make no mention of any possible sub here on either one..interesting to me since there are a couple of rigs that use the 6GE5..Huh..TNX!  73 de DAVE

Electrically they both look pretty close to each other. The 6HB5 is 1/2 inch taller, when seated, then the 6GE5.

Yah that's what I thought Pete..wish I had a Heath HW series here that used the 6GE5..I would give it a spin..I'll mark my sub books that it might be a probable sub..unless someone else chimes in..thanks once agn Pete for ur input!  73 de DAVE
